Welcome to Elkington Stud

The farm runs to some 40 acres and is located just a stone’s throw away from the quaint village of Cropredy, Oxfordshire.

We are a privately owned thoroughbred stud which is aiming to breed and produce successful racehorses within the thoroughbred racing industry.

The stud is home to a small select band of 8 broodmares owned by Jane Keir and managed by Natalie Folland.

Each year we consign home bred yearlings to some of the major bloodstock sales. We also offer boarding, foaling and sales preparation services.

Our Services

Boarding and Foaling

We provide year round temporary and permanent boarding for broodmares and youngstock. Our purpose built facilities are located in North Oxfordshire in close proximity of the M40 and M1, an ideal central location for walk in mares visiting stallion studs in Suffolk, Gloucestershire, Hampshire and surrounding areas.

Sales Preparation

To complement our boarding services we also provide sales preparation for mares, foals and yearlings throughout the year. In order to produce a well balanced horse for the sales with a willing attitude to work, we produce tailor made feed and exercise programmes to meet individual requirements.
